 Our Work:

Our History:

Around 1888 George Provost, along with his wife, started a small monument company in Springfield, Massachusetts.  They later moved the business to Augusta, Maine and ran it with their two sons, Fred and Wilfred.

Fred and Wilfred went on to run their own businesses and in 1948 the younger son, Fred, moved his business to Hallowell, Maine.  For reasons unknown in 1952 Fred moved his family and business to its present location in Benton.

When Fred retired in 1961 the business was taken over by his daughter Denise and her husband Felix LaCroix.  Together they expanded the business to four locations in Belfast, Brunswick, and Carmel as well as the main office in Benton.

After 30 years Felix and Denise retired in 1991. The business ownership was then passed to their son Rock LaCroix and his wife Bernadette.  We are conveniently located at 28 Bangor Road in Benton.

Mission Statement:

As a family owned and operated business for four generations our goal is to treat each and every customer like family.  Whatever their needs, from the simplest marker to the most elaborate memorial.  We take the time to guide them through the process of choosing an appropriate everlasting memorial.
